View amazing real time 3D maps directly in your Internet Browser

The myVR 3D MapView client allows you to integrate powerful real time photorealistic 3D Map viewing technology directly with your existing online 2D map services in any Internet Browser. Using myVR Software's patented distribution and real time 3D viewing technology you can now easily add viewing of large scale 3D city models to your web site or service. Furthermore, these very large 3D city models can then be easily integrated with existing 2D aerial/orthophoto imagery that combined with elevation data allows us to automatically generate highly accurate 3D maps.

 

The 3D MapView client is available as a highly optimized and lightweight ActiveX Control / NPAPI plug-in and supports a wide variety of Internet Browsers. From a integration/development viewpoint the viewing client is fully configurable/customizable though XML and Javascript. All integration aspects such as UI branding/controls, navigation, camera views, overlay support and more is easily changable. 

 

Key Features of myVR 3D MapView:

  • 3D Map Data Formats – Supports “C3 Maps” data from C3 Technologies AB in addition to traditional topographical/ height maps draped with orthophotos/raster imagery from map data providers.
  •  Overlay API – Easily add custom POI markers, labels, buttons, pop-up dialogs with support for HTML, hyperlinks, mouse events, and much more at any x, y, z location in the 3D map. Fully customizable using XML definitions.
  • Browser Plug Ins – The 3D MapView client is available as both an ActiveX control and NPAPI Plug-in component.
  • Client Detection Support – An optional configurable client detection module that can prequalify end users PC HW prior to commencing installation is also available. This module also allows for the submission of system report information to your support organization.
  • Browser support – The following browsers are supported for Microsoft XP / Vista; IE 6/7/8, Firefox, Opera, Mozilla and Safari. Mac OSX 10.4 or newer; Safari/Firefox. Linux 32/64 bit Ubuntu/Debian; FireFox. Mobile Platforms coming soon!
  • Flexible User Interface and Scripting API – Easily integrate the 3D MapView control in your own web pages / map services and control/customize UI and/or functionality using standard Javascript and XML definition files.
  • Client HW Requirements – Standard graphic cards with OpenGL version 1.2 or newer installed. 
  • Component Update Module – Supports individual component upgrade/downgrade capability based on server manifest files without triggering browser security warnings.
