mMap SDK sample running on 3D HoloVizio display
The company Holografika creates some amazing 3D display technology where their HoloVizio products shows high-3D quality images in a way that makes the presented 3D view similar to real life 3D vision.
This is possible due to the fact that spatial points of the image are addressed individually. The position of the displayed 3D object does not depend on the viewing position but it remains fixed in the space. HoloVizio reconstructs the 3D light field, the displays generate all the light beams to make the 3D view of the displayed object visible in the whole field of view.
They recently made a test of the myVR mMAP SDK for displaying 2D and 3D map content on their HoloVizio C80,and Peter Tamas Kovacs the CTO of Holografika tells us that the mMAP SDK demo sample ran right out of the box and created an awesome 3D map experienece. He was kind enough to send us sa video that showcases the experienece. The 3D city shown is Melbourne courtesy of AAMGroup. Even though the video does not do their amazing display technology justice you still get an idea on how impressive this is. Enjoy!
